Nancy Marie Brown

Nancy Marie Brown studied medieval literature in graduate school and first visited Iceland in 1986, returning at least every other year since. She has published three nonfiction books on Icelandic history, myths, science, and sagas, including The Far Traveler: Voyages of a Viking Woman, which inspired her to write her first novel, The Saga of Gudrid the Far-Traveler. Born in Pennsylvania, Nancy currently lives on a hundred-acre farm in Vermont where she keeps four Icelandic horses and an Icelandic sheepdog.
